What TeXpress.ai is

Many journals in engineering, computer science, physics and maths expect submissions in LaTeX, each with its own template. For researchers who don't use LaTeX every day, that means hours spent fighting compile errors, reformatting references and re-typing a paper every time it moves to a different journal.

TeXpress.ai removes that step. A manuscript is split into tabs (metadata, content, figures, tables, equations, references and declarations), and each is edited visually. The editor writes the LaTeX for you, and a live preview shows the compiled paper as you work.

Because the content is stored separately from the template, switching journals is a dropdown rather than a rewrite. You can start from scratch, or import an existing Word, PDF or .tex manuscript; TeXpress extracts its sections, references, tables, figures and equations into the editor.

Key features

Tabbed, visual editing

Sections can be reordered by dragging, with a formatting toolbar for citations, cross-references and lists that stays in view as you scroll.

Import Word, PDF or LaTeX

Bring in an existing manuscript and have its sections, references, tables, figures and equations parsed into the editor.

Journal templates

Generate output for IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, ACM and other formats, and switch between them without retyping a word.

Tables and equations

A spreadsheet-like table editor with merged cells and inline maths, and an equation builder with direct LaTeX editing.

References and metadata

Citation management with usage tracking, plus author details and contributor roles.

AI error fixing

When a compile fails, TeXpress reads the log and suggests a fix. You can also edit the LaTeX source directly.

Who it is for

  • Researchers new to LaTeX. Who need to submit to a LaTeX-only journal without learning LaTeX first.

  • Authors changing journals. Who are resubmitting a rejected paper to a venue with a different template.

  • Experienced LaTeX users. Who want a faster way to manage structure, tables and references, with full access to the source when they need it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know LaTeX to use TeXpress.ai?

No. You edit visually and TeXpress writes the LaTeX. The source is available if you want to edit it directly.

Can I convert an existing Word paper?

Yes. Import the .docx and TeXpress extracts the sections, references, tables, figures and equations into the editor, ready to export in your chosen journal format.

What if my target journal changes?

Change the format in the dropdown and regenerate. The content stays the same; only the template changes.
